JT Price is a sixty-six year old singer/songwriter who has written more than 800 songs, and has been performing and recording for fifty years. In 2001, he suffered a catastrophic injury to his singing voice, which was followed by three unsuccessful surgeries to repair the damage. This was followed by a severe head injury that resulted in a 40% loss of hearing in his right ear, tinnitus, and nerve damage to his hands. And just when it seemed he had already hit the trifecta of "Worse Things That Could Happen To a Singer and Musician", he was diagnosed with cancer.
Yet here he is, still standing, still writing, recording, and performing - and still using his wrecked voice for those who have no voice at all.
